The tour starts from 09:00am. We will inform you about the exact time if we have tourist from multiple hotels.
The first place will be Khor Virap, which is around an hour drive from Yerevan. It offers an amazing view to Mount Ararat and Sis. You can take beautiful pictures from the closest point to the Mount Ararat from Armenia. Khor Virap's notability as a monastery and pilgrimage site is attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator was initially imprisoned here for 13 years by King Tiridates III of Armenia. The monastery attracts a very large number of tourists, and there are a number of souvenir kiosks there. Visitors usually are releasing doves from Khor Virap hoping they will fly to Mount Ararat.
Then we will continue our way to Noravank Monastery. In Noravank we will visit the churches of St. Karapet, St. Grigory the Illuminator, and St. Astvatsatsin. We will have a stop in a local restaurant for Lunch. (The price of lunch is not included in the price)
After lunch we will continue our way to Areni Winery, where you can see the Armenian wine production and also taste it. Later we will return to Yerevan
